"Whatever you want" becomes art film

The spring offers a colorful encounter with the art film world. Award-winning filmmaker Carl Olsson, choreographer Ludvig Daae and Norrdans teams up in a new take of the piece "Whatever you want".

In the original dance piece, Ludvig Daae and costume and set designer Tove Berglund explore how we can think differently about national identity and its expressions. This essence will also be the foundation of the art film.

Filmmaker Carl Olsson and Norrdans have previously collaborated on the dance film Don’t Kiss! who has toured extensively at film festivals around the world.

- Taking on an urgent work like this as a dance institution, but in a new format, feels incredibly inspiring, says Martin Forsberg, Norrdans' artistic director. Ludvig Daae and Tove Berglund really succeeded in creating an extremely accessible and conceptual dance piece, without these concepts being opposed to each other. The relevance of the work, an inclusive ownership of culture, feels like an ever-growing subject.

Here you can find out more about Ludvig Daae's thoughts on the piece "Whatever you want".
