"I get to lose and find myself in dance over and over. I am curious to be confused, perplexed, excited, touched, caught, educated, triggered, loved… by dance. Dance can create a safe and open space for humans to meet on equal levels."

Elia Zahnd started to dance HipHop at the age of six years in Switzerland. In his young teenage years, he also begun with Ballet and Contemporary. To take the next step in his career, he started the prestudy program in Vienna at the age of 15, where he eventually got his Bachelor of Contemporary Dance at the Music and Arts University of the City Vienna (MUK). During his studies, he was part of Impulstanz Festival and performed Time*Sailors choreographed by Bert Gstettner.

Elia is doing his apprenticeship at Norrdans season 23/24.
